Transverse Deflecting Structure (TDS)
Contents
The Transverse Deflecting Structure (TDS) is a key diagnostic device for measuring the longitudinal profile of charged particle beams. My work focuses on the design and simulation of RF deflecting cavities for PAL-eLABs, including cavity optimization, field analysis, and beam-dynamics evaluation.
This project connects electromagnetic cavity design with practical beam diagnostics. I use simulation tools such as CST Studio Suite and beam-dynamics studies to evaluate how the deflecting field maps the longitudinal beam distribution onto a measurable transverse coordinate.
