Longitudinal phase space reconstruction

Longitudinal phase space reconstruction

Contents

Longitudinal phase space (LPS) reconstruction is essential for understanding and optimizing beam quality in RF accelerators. This project studies tomography-based reconstruction methods that combine RF cavity modulation with downstream beam measurements.

The current work includes numerical studies of LPS tomography using a booster cavity and dipole spectrometer. The goal is to reconstruct the longitudinal beam distribution with enough fidelity to support accelerator tuning, diagnostics development, and comparison with alternative reconstruction methods.
